The MRO spacecraft snapped this scenic view of a big mud satan shifting throughout Mars.

NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter snapped a unprecedented view of such a mud devils in motion. The MRO HiRise digital camera workforce on the College of Arizona shared the interesting picture on Monday.
“There are a number of HiRise photographs of tracks left in the back of through mud devils, however it’s uncommon to catch one in movement,” wrote MRO workforce member Sharon Wilson. The spacecraft snapped the picture in early October 2019.
Wilson estimated the core of the mud satan used to be about 164 ft (50 meters) throughout. The whirlwind’s long shadow suggests its plume reached skyward through over 2,100 ft (650 meters). You would not wish to land on Mars and notice such a monsters coming at you.

MRO is not the one Mars system in search of mud devils. The Mars Alternative rover snapped a phenomenal ground-level view of a whirlwind in 2016.
