The researchers disclose the dinosaur’s cloaca has equivalent options as cloacas on alligators and crocodiles. The dino’s outer cloaca spaces have been additionally most probably extremely pigmented. This pigmentation can have been used to draw a mate, similar to baboons use theirs.

“We discovered the vent does glance other in many alternative teams of tetrapods, however generally, it does not inform you a lot about an animal’s intercourse.” Dr. Diane Kelly from the College of Massachusetts Amherst mentioned. “The ones distinguishing options are tucked throughout the cloaca, and sadly, they are now not preserved on this fossil.”

It is not simply the illusion of the dino’s vent that were given the eye of buddies, but additionally its odor. The massive, pigmented lobes on each side of the cloacas may have additionally incorporated musky smell glands to get the eye of a mate.
