“Earth has a brand new briefly captured object/Conceivable mini-moon referred to as 2020 CD3. At the evening of Feb. 15, my Catalina Sky Survey teammate Teddy Pruyne and I discovered a 20th magnitude object,” Kacper Wierzchos tweeted Tuesday.

He reckoned the asteroid has a diameter of between 1.nine – three.five miles, and is the second one identified to orbit Earth (the former one was once found out via CSS in 2006).
CSS did not in an instant reply to a request for remark.
